1. Our purpose
Ummatia exists to support Muslim communities — mosques, prayer times, charity (Bait-ul-Maal), Halal services, and trusted travel information. We are not a government body, bank, travel agency, or religious court.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old. You must provide a valid phone number and keep your login secure. One person should not create accounts to harass others or evade moderation. An account may hold more than one listing (mosque committee, travel agency, caterer, store, tutor). Mosque editing is granted through mosque membership, not by picking a role at sign-up. The site administrator may warn, suspend, or delete any non-administrator account that does not follow these Terms or Ummatia guidelines, and may grant or remove listing verification — including reversing a verification made in error.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Post false, fraudulent, or misleading listings or donation details
- Impersonate a mosque, charity, agent, or person
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against others
- Use the platform for money laundering, scams, or illegal fundraising
- Scrape, attack, or disrupt the service
- Upload unlawful, hateful, or sexually exploitative content
Misuse may lead to immediate account suspension, removal of content, and civil or criminal action under the laws of your country and state/province — including United States · Ohio.
4. User-generated content
Mosques, agencies, stores, caterers, events, and Bait-ul-Maal items are submitted by users. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you publish. Ummatia may edit, hide, or remove content that violates these Terms.
5. No payment processing
Donations, tour bookings, and shop purchases happen off-platform between you and the other party. Ummatia does not hold funds and is not liable for failed transfers or dishonest recipients — verify before you pay.
6. Regional rules (United States · Ohio)
For users in the United States: you must comply with federal and state law, including applicable consumer-protection, anti-fraud, and charitable-solicitation rules in your state.
Ummatia provides an informational community directory only and does not act as your agent, fiduciary, or payment processor.
Misuse may result in account termination and referral to law enforcement where appropriate.
7. Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranties. To the fullest extent permitted by law in United States · Ohio, Ummatia and its operators are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the platform or reliance on third-party listings.
8. Changes
We may update these Terms. The version date above will change when we do. Continued use after an update means you accept the new Terms. Material changes may require re-acceptance at sign-in.
9. Contact and complaints
Questions or reports of misuse: use Report this listing on the relevant page, email support@ummatia.com, or Suggest an improvement in the footer. How we handle complaints is on the Privacy policy. For emergencies involving crime, contact your local police first.
