An All Inclusive package usually covers return flights, hotels in Makkah and Madinah, the Umrah visa, airport and inter-city transfers, and ground assistance. A Land Only package covers everything inside Saudi Arabia (hotels, transport, ground services) but not the international flights — ideal if you prefer to book your own flights.

A well-planned Umrah trip is typically 7 to 10 days. The rituals themselves take a few hours, but you’ll want time for arrival/departure, rest, and Ziyarat in Makkah and Madinah. Many pilgrims choose 10–14 nights for a relaxed, unhurried experience.

November to February has pleasant weather (around 20–30°C), good for families and the elderly. The summer months (June–August) are usually the cheapest. Ramadan is the most spiritually rewarding but also the busiest and most expensive — book several months ahead.

You must enter Saudi Arabia within 30 days of visa approval, after which the visa expires. Once you’ve passed immigration, you’re generally allowed to stay up to 90 days. Overstaying can lead to fines and future travel bans, so confirm exact rules with your operator.

A Quadrivalent Meningococcal (ACWY) vaccination certificate is required for pilgrims from India. Depending on your travel history you may also need proof of Yellow Fever or Polio vaccination. Seasonal flu and routine vaccines are recommended, especially for children and elderly pilgrims.

The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah sets a minimum age of 5 years for an Umrah permit; younger children may enter the Grand Mosque accompanied by a parent or guardian. There is no upper age limit — any physically and financially able Muslim may perform Umrah.

Makkah Ziyarat commonly includes sites such as the Cave of Hira, Jabal-e-Rahmah, Mina, Muzdalifah and Masjid Jinn. Madinah Ziyarat usually includes Masjid Quba, Masjid Qiblatain, Jabal Uhud and the Seven Mosques. Confirm the exact sites with your operator as they vary by package.
